How to wash & daily condition our wigs
How to WASH your wig:
Caring for Human Hair Wigs (basin method)
Begin by gently detangling the hair using a soft paddle brush.
Starting from the bottom (the ends) and work your way up (to the roots)
Draw a bath of cool or cold water.
Saturate the wig completely
Remove the wig and gently pat shampoo throughout the wig hairs and cap.
Rub gently to sudsy the lather and ensure complete shampooing of the wig hair and cap
Gently rub the hair of the wig together with particular focus on the lace closure because it rests on bare skin.
Once you're satisfied you've shampooed the lace, hair and cap throughly immerse the wig in the water to remove excess suds.
Remove the wig.
Now rinse throughly with cool running water to remove all traces of shampoo.
Repeat if necessary.
Gently squeeze excess water from the hair and cap being careful not to damage the combs in the wig
How to CONDITION your wig (daily conditioner)
Gently dot conditioner throughout the entire wig but avoid the roots of the lace.
This is important because you don't want the conditioner to cause the knots that anchor the hair to the lace to become undone and unravel causing excessive shedding.
Take a wide tooth comb and gently detangle from the ends up to the roots.
You can rinse the hair immediately with cold or cool water or you can let sit for a few minutes before doing so for extra conditioning.
After you've conditioned the wig rinse the wig cap and hair throughly in cool (preferably COLD) water
Gently squeeze excess water from wig being careful not to damage the wig combs.
Wrap wig in a clean dry towel that that you don't mind being stained.
Allow to sit wrapped in the towel for no less than 20 minutes to absorb as much water from the cap and hair as possible.
Pin your wig on preferably a wig head, add desired styling products and style as you wish
Please note: It is recommended that you air dry on a wig stand but you may style according to preference
